Part of Erin's Maxwell Park series, here all the sun and shade of an early autumn day caught from in a moment's pause at the top of the path. Colours range from lemmony yellows all the way to russet reds, with pallette knife work and brushstrokes evoking the very texture of the broad foliage.
Complimenting Maxwell Park II, this series depicting urban Scotland from the relative shelter and quiet of the trees counterpoints works such as Portpatrick Splash and the bracing exposed wilds of the coast.
