Turbulence is an intense piece full of rich depth and splashes of bold colour almost thrown across the composition to give us a complex landscape. The colours here channel those of her coastal works such as Portpatrick Splash but the representation is abstracted, the forms hinted at. As part of a trio of works (Some Sky and Blue Autumn) Turbulence sees Erin give her work fully to the pure wild energy of the Scottish landscape.
