In a riotous burst of colour Erin's work takes a more experimental turn, along with its partner piece (Between The Trees II). With the striking colours and almost trippy contrasts, she leans in to a Fauvist manner of working, creating a dreamy scene albeit one that still touches on the hallmarks of her woodland works. That shaded, seated vantage point, the bright sunlit distances, a secluded and peaceful air.
A work of strong contrasts that finds subtlety in a gorgeous mix of umbers and ochres, with rich teal and enamel blues.
